Oh it's just Shiraishi. Clinging on the Gyarados as it moves around, trying to throw the trainer off. And Shiraishi's screaming (mostly for help) here.

He hasn't even been there for a week and he's already in trouble, huh?

[Meanwhile, at the edge of the lake you'll find a cat sprawled on the ground, head resting on its front paws.

What's the cat doing? Laughing at you. And occasionally reaching out with a paw to swipe at the Magikarp]

While... Shiraishi's diving with Gyarados.]

[Suddenly! A giant sized pink mermaid pokes her head above the water. She looks around uncertainly, then, upon hearing someone's desperate pleas for help, swims quickly over to the Gyarados, arms outstretched.]

Oh, oh no! You shouldn't do that! Please stop! You'll hurt your rider!

[ooc note: Mermaids in Shirahoshi's canon can speak to fish, whales, sharks, etc. So let's have a bit of fun with this, eh?]

[She's done worse. Jumping a motorcycle off a dock onto an escaping speedboat? Piece of cake. A runaway Gyarados is nothing.]

Argh! Fine, I guess we'll just have to stop this thing in its tracks!

I didn't. There isn't anything like that from where I come from. [While he's talking he's trying to dry his clothes at least a little. Hopefully he doesn't catch a flue because of this.]
