[Today Shiraishi's sitting on the beach in Olivine. He's enjoying a day outside and taking it easy for a while.]

It's been a while since I've been on a beach. [He just wished it would be summer. That way it would be more enjoyable.] Coming here actually reminded me that I've been here for over six months already. It doesn't feel like that at all, even if it is a lot colder than it was back then.

[On the background, you can see a Chikorita running around. Shiraishi smiles at her before turning back to the gear.]

I just hope it doesn't get too cold for grass Pokémon to be outside like this. How does winter affect their life's? I haven't noticed any signs of autumn in them, but winter is a whole different thing. [At least Chikorita seems to be doing fine right now. She doesn't have any worries and sand is fun. Shiraishi chuckles a little.]

Well, I guess it's not something to worry about right now-

[Instead there's something else to worry, since Shiraishi's suddenly feeling not so well. He's actually about to say something about that, but instead he'll just drop down - unconscious. The gear continues filming.

Chikorita rushes to her trainer. She pokes and tickles him with her leaf... but nothing happens. Not even a twitch, even if he normally does at least that.] Chiko...? [What's wrong with him?]

(ooc: Shiraishi will be sleeping for ~two weeks. This was was kind of written just to give this journal some kind of an "ending". More information about here. All possible replies will come from his Chikorita.)

[When the feed opens, you first see an Eevee. He's snuggling against Shiraishi who's trying to keep the camera steady. Behind him you can see a small camping site on some route. Once the camera is well enough, he'll speak.]

It seems that Ai Hidaka has been sent home. I got her Eevee this morning before leaving Violet. [The Eevee makes a sad sound, but also pushes his head a little against Shiraishi's chest, to comfort him. Shiraishi pets him.] I think I've already lost count on how many have left that I've known... but I'm sure they're all happy to be home with their friends and family. Who knows, they might even come back one day and then we'll have a reunion.

[There's a smile on his face. He's sad about all of them, of course, but he's not letting it show too much. He needs to be strong and keep his emotions in control. If not for himself, then for his friends and the Pokémon. Especially since the Eevee was so young.]

I decided it's time for me to continue traveling so I'm heading towards Ecruteak next. I didn't challenge the Violet Gym yet, because I'm thinking about trying the Kanto gyms first once I've traveled through Johto.

[Which might take a while because of Shiraishi's excellent sense of direction, but he has all the time in the world, right?]

Though I do have a question. Where do you think should I go after reaching Ecruteak? According to the map there's two different paths: one to Mahogany Town and one to Olivine City. Which of those should I see first?

[The feed clicks on to show a bed that's full of different colored eggs. Most of them are different kinds of green, but there are some of other colors as well. A Vulpix is sitting next to them, keeping them warm (even if it isn't responsible for any).

Shiraishi will show up on the feed next, looking rather sheepish.]

So, my career as a breeder started... though I must say that I didn't plan for it to start this way. [Never leave your Pokémon alone unless you mean it. That's an important lesson learned.]

I've decided to give all the eggs away to good homes for free. So if you want one, just ask. There are Budews, Bulbasaurs, Chikoritas, Eevees, Natus, Petilils and Pidgeys.

[Hmm.]

[With a wave and a smile he cuts the feed.]

[There's a really worried Eevee on the network today. She seems to have a problem and is now seeking for help through the gear. Humans did it, so maybe she could be able to get some help as well?]

My trainer has been sleeping for a week in a row. I know humans need a lot of sleep, but... this can't be normal, right?

[She looks worriedly over at the bed that's behind her.]

I mean, we've tried to wake him up a few times, but it hasn't helped at all. What should we-- Oh!

[Sounds can be heard from the bed. The Eevee looks delighted! Shiraishi was waking up. He was alright after all-!

... but why did it sound like Shiraishi was... crying?

Without saying anything else, the Eevee flicks her tail and shuts the video off. It's best if no one sees this.]

[Half an hour later a new post comes to the network. It's a voice only though, as Shiraishi doesn't feel like he could do a video post today.]

It seems that I've been asleep for a while. Though how I got from Goldenrod to Violet during it is... quite a mystery. [He'd probably suggest sleepwalking if he was in the mood of joking right now.] Though it's weird that I was only away from Johto for a week. It felt like I was away for months.

[He'd also say "I think I visited home", but it's not a subject he wants to discuss right now.]

Anyway, I'm back and sorry if I worried anyone. [Pause.] I'm probably going to stay in Violet and find a job for now.

[And without any further notices, he'll cut the feed short.]

[After his audio feed he can be found from near Pokémon Center. He's pretty much in his own thoughts, but feel free to bother him if you'd like.]

[And the feed opens to an exhausted Shiraishi once he gets his gear back. He's been running after it for... who knows how long. And gotten even more lost.]

I... think I'm in a pinch here. I've been looking for the exit at Ilex Forest to Azalea Town for hours. I just got here for a evening stroll and then couldn't find a way out.

[His Vulpix is curled up next to him, sleeping.] And I have the wrong map, too... so I have no idea where to go.

So uh... what should I do?

[The feed starts with a small Shinx watching the camera before moving up to show Shiraishi. He's sitting on the grass of Route 32. It seems like he's enjoying and relaxing right now.]

We decided to go ahead and continue our journey since we were in Violet City for quite long. I was wondering if anyone has tips for-

[An Eevee appears on the screen. She doesn't seem to notice she's interrupting something.]

... Hey, can you move slightly, Eevee? [A kind request from the trainer. Eevee turns around to look... and put back her ears. Someone was on her spot!

She tackles the Shinx off. Shinx looks confused at first before looking simply annoyed... and attacks back. This becomes a fight.]

Hey! Stop that you two-

[And Shiraishi gets a Solosis on his cheek that seems to want his attention. Why now?] Solosis, please, not now... [Another poke on the cheek.

The Eevee and Shinx seem to still be at it... Shiraishi decides to try and catch either of them into their ball... with no luck. He sighs.]

... this will take a while so I think it's better if I... just deal with this. [Really, jealous Pokémon over him? How attached they have grown.] If anyone has tips on ... this or how to get through the Union Cave, I'd appreciate it. Sorry about this.

[And he clicks the feed off.]

[Feed opens with the serene view of the Lage of Rage. So beautiful and silent. There are a bunch of Magikarp just jumping out of the lake and-

Wait... is that a Gyarados? Why is it red? Ohh god it's a Shiny Gyarados!

... though what's on it? Zooming to see.

Oh it's just Shiraishi. Clinging on the Gyarados as it moves around, trying to throw the trainer off. And Shiraishi's screaming (mostly for help) here.

He hasn't even been there for a week and he's already in trouble, huh?

Well, nothing else is too interesting here, thinks the random Gengar that has the gear. Feed clicks off.]

[As the feed starts you'd expect to see someone there... well you don't, but that's quite common too, isn't it? Instead you see a lot of grass and something that looks a lot like dandelion colours... but doesn't look like a flower. More like a jacket that's been left there.

And then the jacket moves. Slowly it gets higher and out of the view. Someone must have picked it up. Well, almost. Next you see it flying (yes, flying) in the distance, followed by a young looking boy.]

Oi! Come back with that.

[Luckily for this young boy, the jacket is too heavy for the Pidgey and it's easy to catch. Though once the jacket is off it flies away.]

Geez, and I just took it off for a while because it's too hot.

[It's your own fault for stopping to take a break in the long grass, Shiraishi. He'll return back to the previous spot (right outside the gear) and sighs as he sits down. Traveling was a harder than he thought.]

Maybe I should have stayed in town until the evening so the sun wouldn't be so bright... are you alright, Budew?

[There's a small, cheerful "Budew" sound coming from somewhere near the gear.]

Well, it can't be helped now... we'll just try to get to the next town as fast as we can. Or spend time in shades before we do.

[It's a mystery why they don't right now.

The feed will continue with the grassy view. It doesn't seem like they'll notice anytime soom that it's recording somehow.]
